The restaurant had a humble start when two college students from Georgia Tech, with the third one from the University of Georgia, opened their first store on Spring Street in Atlanta. Its expansion age came at the beginning of the century when the franchise had expanded from college markets to urban areas, like Jacksonville, Florida and Denver.
