Wawa started its business in 1803 as an iron foundry, and it was not until 1890 that Wawa Dairy Farm began to produce milk with imported cows. To adjust to the market changes, Wawa began to open its own stores, offering milk and other dairy products. Later in 1960s, the first Wawa Food Market was opened, becoming one of the parts of Wawa Inc, the chain of convenience store, whose other functions have been completed and improved during the following years. Currently, Wawa operates along the East Coast of the United States, including Pennsylvania where its headquarters located, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. In a Wawa store, soups, sides, bowls, salads, sandwiches, snacks and various other items are available whenever you come, morning, noon, or night. Foods of the Ready-to-Go category are designed for travelers’ convenience, for they are prepared ahead of time and packaged to be taken out. Isn’t that amazing?
